Furnace is a typical industrial complex object. It is notable to have characteristics of a multi-variable, time-varying, nonlinear, strong coupling, and the inertial pure delay. Because the temperature of furnace is difficult to measure and there are many external disturbance factors, it is difficult to accurately modeling and control. With the increasing requirements of the Process, the traditional control methods have been unable to meet the current needs of the Energy-saving environmental protection. So combining with the characteristics of furnace and taking the furnace temperature as study and control object, this paper put forward a PI parameters self-tuning control method based on fuzzy logic.The main work of the paper is as follows:Firstly, it has elaborated the research background and the significance of the topic selection, the purpose and effect of slab reheating and the quality of reheating slab which influenced the whole rolling process, furthermore, research situation and the problems of the controlled reheating furnace have been analyzed.Secondly, we in particular introduce the model of combustion control system of reheating furnace, and describe mathematical model of the furnace in-depth.Thirdly, the process and control requirement of furnace, the fuzzy control strategy of sequence control and furnace pressure are discussed, which mainly centered on the research of the temperature control and on the factors that influence the furnace's temperature, furthermore, we studied the optimal enactment of furnace temperature.Fourthly, considering the practice problems of temperature control for furnace, we have designed fuzzy logic PI intelligent control system based on fuzzy inference and the principle of transmission of the PID.Lastly, MATLAB is used as the platform to conduct the emulating experiment which is feasible and effective. the outcome lays the foundation 0f applying the theory to practice.
