| Wire Electric Discharge Machining (WEDM) is widely used in manufacturing of mould, milling tools, complicate and precision workpiece for its minute cutting force and the ability to machining high-melting materials and high hardness or high toughness materials. Now in China, the machining technique of Wire Electric Discharge Machining with High traveling Speed (WEDM-HS) has been quite mature, and the same time, the research on Wire Electric Discharge Machining with Low traveling Speed (WEDM-LS) is being further promoted. But as a whole, the development of CAD/CAM control technique on WEDM-HS is hysteresis and inconvenience, and the distance to the development of software and hardware of computer is further and further. With the development and prevalence of Windows OS, the research of WEDM base on Windows platform is meaningful.This paper kept on the research on CNC of CAWEP for WEDM by means of an Open Modular Architecture (OMA) conception. Its function was got consummated and complementarity by this paper. In the beginning of this paper, control model and interpolate algorism of top-bottom different shape machining for WEDM-HS has been studied deeply, and a new simulation mode of top-bottom different shape machining has been developed. Then, we investigated and developed a vectorization system for BMP files of WEDM. The thinning-algorism and line fitting algorism were discussed which realized machining of non-measure workpiece. This vectorization system had good effect after many experiments, and advanced efficiency of programming and machining considerably for WEDM. In the end, we discussed how to use CPLD to realize the data transmission between PC and motion-card through ISA bus, and the coding-circuit of CPLD base on ISA-bus was designed and experimented which adopted new chip of CPLD. It simplified the circuit of motion-card significantly. |
