By the reason of having many changes and being economic, efficient, simple operation-craft and easy to supervise, SBR (the Sequencing Batch Reactor) has been used widely in the treatment of waste water of dye, food, chemical plants, and towns and cities. The key of SBR sewage treatment is the activated-sludge, but the living temperature of activated-sludge is a very important factor to the effect and the stable running of SBR. Because the water temperature can affect the enzyme-urge reaction, multiplication and endogenesis metabolism of microbe in activated-sludge, gross oxygen-transfer coefficient, the concentration of saturated dissolving oxygen in sewage, activated-sludge swelling, viscidity of sewage, and the bio-chemical reaction of the activated-sludge. So it can be said that the temperature of waste water influences the whole course and every phase of sewage activated-sludge treatment.This paper has been accomplished on the basis of the treatment for municipal waste water with the purpose of finding out the best theoretic technological operation and the economical operation in the condition of lower temperature sewage at the late autumn, the winter and the early spring by using a bench-scale experimental unit. From the test, it can be induced that the experimental results in terms of CODcr, NH3-N and TP of the SBR operation inSanwayao municipal sewage treatment works can respectively conform to class I of the national standard for wastewater discharge, the CODcr and NH3-N decontamination rate is respectively above 85% and 98%. The degradation law of COD, NH3-N, TP and PH were discovered respectively through municipal sewage SBR treatment tests at lower sewage temperature. It is also concluded that SBR at the condition of lower temperature sewage can adapt itself tosewage of different concentration.We have worked out the kinetic parameters and obtained the dynamics equation of the optimum condition of SBR at the condition of lower temperature sewage. It can be used as a tool for production.
