To decrease the toxicity of Tripterygium wilfordii Hook.f., microemulsion was loaded with the ethylacetate extract of Tripterygium wilfordii Hook.f. (TWEE) .Its transdermal permeation through mouse skin in vitro, viscidity and appearance were studied. The results show that the NO.5 is the best formulation(TWEE 0.5g, oleic acid 8g, tween 80 30g, propylene glycol 15g, water 40.48g, vitamin E 0.02g, menthol 1.5g).The antiinflammation of the NO.5 formulation was studied. The result showed that the formulation could restrain the swell of the rat's toes. Particularly, the high dosage and the middling dosage had the marked curative effect to the acute inflammation. The antiimmunity of the NO.5 formulation was studied. The result showed that the formulation could restrain the pathological changes of the rat that the complete freunds adjuvant induced. Particularly, the high dosage had the marked curative effect to the pathological changes after ten days. The middling dosage had the similar curative effect with the troche of TWEE. The low dosage had no curative effect. The analgesic effect of the NO.5 formulation was studied. The result showed that the formulation had the analgesic effect and decreased the twist degree of the mice. Particularly, the high dosage had the marked analgesic effect. The irritation of the NO.5 formulation was studied. The result showed that the 2.5% and 5% formulation had the gentle irritation, but it could be accepted.
