Research And Manufacture Of High Grade Cigarette Paper

The production of cigarette paper sheet in China has been for more than seventy years. But only within recent ten years, the production of cigarette paper in China got a more fast development with importing new technology and equipments, and the quality of cigarette paper produced in China is equal to the cigarette paper produced in North American and in Europe. It would be a fact that the ending the history of import of rice paper from aboard, throughput and the quality of cigarette paper in China have been first one in the world.The production history of cigarette paper in our paper mill is several decades. Entering 90's decade, more and more rice paper machines were imported and installed in many cigarette paper mill, then the production capacity increased quickly and quality improved in those mill, which is a strict situation and challenge to our mill. How to increase the production and to improve the quality of cigarette paper became a critical issue for our mill.For facing the challenge of above cigarette paper mill and increasing the production and improving the quality of cigarette paper, base on the decades production experience, a new cigarette paper production line with 1880 cigarette paper machine was investigated in our mill. Combining new technology, the technology of the new rice paper line was designed and optimized. The practice after near two years production for the cigarette paper testified that the product quality is higher and the profits of the line is good. The optimization of the technology includes the choice of raw material for the production of cigarette paper, the control of beating technology, the control of the papermaking machine, and it includes also the online control for the machine, the reconstruction of wet end part, press part, and so on. The design and installation of the machine and the production line, including the technology optimization are introduced in the thesis on detailed.After the practice for the production of cigarette paper in our mil, the characteristics for the producing the cigarette paper was understood fully. Throughout the serious study on the relationship of technology and cigarette paper properties, specially, combining the improvement of physical factors of the cigarette paper, such as tensile strength, opacity and so on, many theories and practices on producing the cigarette paper with domestic rice paper machine were obtained. The success includes how to choose the raw material, how to reform the furnish and how to improve the appearance quality for the cigarette paper. It would be a fact that the works on the new cigarette paper line with domestic machine settle a fundamental for the production of cigarette paper with Chinese national characteristics, and the product quality in our mill is near or higher than that production aboard.
