The spontaneous combustion of coal comes into being the heat of coal oxidation under the aptitude oxygen and heat preservation conditions. But it is fully known up to now for the complexity of the oxidation process and limitation of the research method. So it is important signification to study the spontaneous combustion mechanism of coal and built the prediction theory of coal spontaneous combustion. The thermogravimetic apparatus has some advantages such as high precision, convenience, well-repetition characteristic etc. More and more research institutions make use of the experimental means to analyze the coal combustion characteristic and the oxidation process of coal. Many papers refer to the characteristic temperature of the thermogravimetric curve in the oxidation procession of coal, but the relations between characteristic temperature and the oxidation procession have not discussed, and the influencing rule of the experiment conditions have not thoroughly analyzied. The method of the theory and the experiments is adopted in this paper. First, according to the contrast analysis of groups in the on the surface coal molecule, the seven active groups is got. The structure of the coal molecule will be changed, because the bond is parted under the conditions of high temperature. And then the micro-mechanism will be understanded. Second, Based on the thermogravitymetrey experiments of Yanzhou Xinglongzhuang mine coal sample, the cures of weightlessness and weightlessness speed are analyzed, and the characteristic and critical temperature points of Yanzhou coal are got. Finally, The influence rules between the characteristic temperature and the oxygen, coal size and temperature speed is importently analyzied. The results can well reflect the process of coal oxidation. It is signification to control coal spontaneous combustion and built the prediction theory of coal spontaneous combustion at large.
