The plastic profile has been applied on construction and decoration broadly since decades development. The production of plastic profile has formed mass throughput interiorly, at the same time, the manufacture technology of native die has been improved greatly. But the quality of native die is lower than the import die. The tight shape and the high speed and efficiency is the advanced direction of plastic profile. The development of profile is being affected by two factors: one is the lower cooling efficiency than extrusion; the other is outside quality and dimension accuracy of profile. These factors have close relations with the cooling and shape system of die.Currently the cooling and shaping system design of extrusion die almost dependent on the designer's experience and the simple design theory, and is adjusted based on the craft means. The adjustment at the cost of efficiency and quality has severe blindness to design of mould, and the range of adjustment is narrow. The design means result a longer design period of mould than ever, and can't guarantee the quantity and quality of plastic profile strictly.Aim at the above problems, this paper introduce a method: introduce number solution into the cooling system design of the plastic profile extrude die. This paper analyses the temperature field of plastic profile in the shape mould with a FEM software ANSYS to inquire the distribution of temperature field. The alternative between mould cooling system and craft parameters was confirmed based on the acquired distribution. Thus try hard for solving the two factors which affect the development of plastic profile to make sure the technology of profile further to the direction of high speed and efficiency and nicety molding.The factors which affected the design of mould's cooling system are researched in this paper, and mathematic model of temperature solving for profile cooling is represented based on the thermodynamics and finite elements theory. The paper analyses the cooling process of symmetrical and dissymmetrical section profile with FEM software ANSYS, then adopt the data to guide the design of mould's cooling system. The method has an important sense to improve the quality and quantity of plastic profile, it can shorten the design periods of extrusion die, it makes design of mould be more successful and cool profile be more uniformly.
