Chemistry history shows the process of the occurrence, formation and development of chemistry. It comprises chemistry development history, chemistry society history and chemistry ideology. Chemistry history accumulates a large amount of educational nourishment science thoughts, epistemology and historical fact, as well as the profound thoughts of the chemists, science attitude and spirit.Chemistry history education is an old and young educational topic. This many a day, educational person of ideals and integrity has lots of appeal and exploration in the world. Philosophy, psychology and latter-modernism are its theoretic foundation. Latter-modernism is especially times theoretic support.In elemental education reform of our country, the idea of chemistry is "improving the students' science literacy as major idea", "training the future citizen' science literacy through three ways: chemistry knowledge and skills, process and methods, as well as sensibility, attitude and value view". Chemistry history has a special research angle of view so that the combination of chemistry history and chemistry teaching will improve students' science literacy in three respects, and give chemistry teaching reform a new sight.Our research is aimed at providing positive evidence for the combination of chemistry history and chemistry teaching to improve the students' science literacy.
