The abrasive belt grinding is a new coated abrasive technology which is titled as "The Universal Grinding" and "The Colder Grinding" in the material surface precision machining. In modern manufacture industry, it has already been regarded as the equal importance and indispensabilities to machining method like grinding wheel. It is important to test and optimize the grinding parameters in the abrasive belt grinding. In addition, abrasive belt is the key and importance symbol, the test and analysis abrasive belt grinding parameters has guidance function and significance not only for the design and produce abrasive belt factories ising greating significance, but also for the research and manufacture brasive belt grinding machine.The appearance of virtual instrument is natural trend to the computer assistant test technique development, and the change with each passing day the inevitable trend that technique development, at the same time the computer technique is changing with each passing day, and it provides the technique foundation for virtual instrument coming into existence. Virtual instrument has the huge superiority by the comparison of virtual instrument and tradition instrument, the virtual testing system can simplify hardware design and integrate all kinds of testing function into the unified hardware system by the computer powerful capability, and change the maladroit and expensive hardware module originally into the portable and inexpensive software module, achieve the optimization of system integration.This paper takes the principle and engineerings application of abrasive belt grinding as background, according to the appraise index of abrasive belt grinding characteristics and its influence elements, synthesize the modern measurement and test method and abrasive belt grinding experiment, analyze deeply the research present situation domestic and abroad, the author develop a measurement and test system of coated abrasive grinding based on virtual instrument with LabVIEW. The paper build appropriate mathematics model based on the belt appraise index, finally make a grinding experiment on the Titanium alloy compound material with this system. As a result, this system will enrich and expand method on the measurement and test system of coated abrasive grinding. The main efforts of this paper follow:,â‘  The information and trial data of abrasive belt is introduced, and the characteristic of abrasive belt grinding is analyzed further, at the same time the application property of abrasive belt is described.These establish theory basis of building measurement and test system of coated abrasive grinding.â‘¡ According to demand for the testing of coated abrasive belt grinding properties, this paper design the measurement and test system of coated abrasive grinding based on virtual instrument with LabVIEW, the real time signals on grinding parameters can be acquisted with sensors by DAQ card, those parameters can be displaied, analysed and disposed through PC synchronously, and take some necessary ways to reduce noise that surrounding environment interfere with testing system.â‘¢ Make use of the language Lab VIEW to programming on each software mold of this test system, these molds realize like functions, data acquisition, signal conditioning, numerical transform, data store with high speed, data recovery and analysis, print testing result etc..â‘£ Make experiments on the Titanium alloy compound material with this test system repeatedly, verified the system reliability preliminarily, and some improvements have started further according to the test result and design requirement.
