Research On Mechanism Of Oil-Film Near The Offshore Platform

Large areas of brightness of oil-film usually occur on the surface of the ocean near the offshore platform, because of emission of oiliness sewage from the offshore platform. But many monitoring results show that the oil concentration of the sewage accorded with standar of control emission. In order to protect the ocean environment, this paper will make investigation and analysis of the phenomenon, and find out the cause of the formation and influence factors of the oil-film near the offshore platform.The samples of oil selected as the experiments were from the offshore platform in the South Sea of China. There is a good relationship between the brightness of the oil-film and the thickness of oil-film. The oil-film was influenced from the different oil contents, dispersant contents, salinity, temperature, pH, current velocity and air velocity.The main results show as follows:1. The thickness of oil-film increase along with the increase of oil contents.2. With the change of oil contents invariably, The thickness of oil-film increase along with the decrease of dispersant contents, temperature, current velocity and air velocity, and along with the increase of pH and salinity,The regressive models have been established with Excel software bases on the laboratory analysis of the samples. The results show that the oil and dispersant contents are the main influence factors of the thickness of oil-film.
