Gas pipe deliver is one of the important means by which the nation improves energy deliver structure at present. During gas pipe deliver process, how to securely and efficiently assemble branch pipe without stopping delivering gas and decreasing pressure is a problem which needs solve very much in the gas pipe deliver industry. There are some branch pipe installation machines without efficiency and security presently, especially to assemble large branch pipe it is nearly impossible. But installation efficiency directly effects economy. So there is an important actual significance to develop a secure and efficient on-line intelligence cutting machine for gas pipe. The general planning of the on-line intelligence cutting machine for gas pipe is studied based on the method of conceptual design in this paper .The cutting feature of laser, abrasive water jet and plasma-arc is compared, and the plasma-arc cutting method is selected according to the practical situation. In order to know the cutting performance of plasma-arc better, several important influencing factors are analyzed, BP neutral network is built for the selection model about processing parameters of plasma-arc, and its performance is optimized. Theoretical model about pipe intersecting is set up according to the actual working condition about on-line mounting branch pipe, and the intersecting curvilinear equation during the pipe cutting is obtained, which lays the foundations of theoretical base for actual cutting. In this paper,the implement method of the control system about on-line intelligence cutting of gas pipe is represented with hardware design and software design. The whole software design is programmed with assembly language and Visual C++ 6.0 programming language on the Windows 2000 platform. In the hardware aspect, the system implements the kinetic control of step motor and signal acquisition on the based of personal computer, MCU and kinetic control card. The anti-interference technology about control system is analyzed. The process of branch pipe installation about gas pipe is very dangerous. In order to improve the system's security and high efficiency ,the present paper emphasizes the study on general panning design , motion locus solution and control strategy implementation, and its combination property is markedly increased.
