The method was discussed on the elimination of alga and the pollutant of its metabolism by using Fenton reagent (H2O2 and Fe2+) aimed at the problem of alga pollution in present water condition in this paper. Its function mechanism was summarized. From the points of the effects and mechanism, the research not only enriched the theory of water treatment, but also broadened the field of development and application of Fenton reagent. The study has specific value in theoretical and practical study. The research was stated as followed:The effects were mainly on the elimination of alga pollution using Fenton reagent, and the action conditions were optimized in the paper. Under the studied condition, the better effect was achieved with the eliminated rate of 70100%.The results showed that the concentration of Fe2+ was a main factor of the elimination effect of alga pollution, on which H2O2 took second place, and pH was least. The concentration ratio of H2O2 and Fe2+ was to a certainty effect, which of 7:1 was the optimum. At pH of 9, it can fit the condition of original water quality.Furthermore, the mechanism was put forward on the comprehensive eliminating pollution by using coupling of OH oxygenation and Fe3+ complex flocculation based on the analysis of the ion disturbance and the concentration ratio of reagents. It promoted the theoretical development of Fenton system. From the above stated, Fenton reagent can increase the efficiency of elimination in alga pollution. It is characteristic of fitting to the condition of original water quality. Especially, the reagent is easy to combine into the traditional technique of water treatment. It is convenient to use, which can evidently improve water quality. The research result is higher value in the application.
