External screw steel tube rolling is the key equipment to manufacture finish rolling external screw steel tube. Deeply studying external screw steel tube rolling have important significance, to accelerate new-style technique of anchor quick development and carry out home-madeization of self-boring grouted rock external screw bolt.By analyzing the operation principle of the roller system, and based on the virtual prototyping technology and its related software, the three dimensional digital prototyping of roller system is obtained. Systemic multibody system dynamics simulation analysis and study is carried out based on the model.The main work of this paper is as follows:Firstly, the worldwide research activities of the roller system are reviewed, and the fundamental principle and cooperating process of the system are introduced. Then,the roller system is simplified as a physical model which adapts to carry out dynamics simulation.Secondly,a 3-dimensional digital model is established by the CAD software, Solidworks. The best file transfer protocol between Solidworks and ADAMS is found, and the model of the roller system is successfully imported to ADAMS software.Thirdly, at the platform of ADAMS, the virtual prototype of the model is founded, by using the toolbox of ADAMS to apply constrains and forces to the parts of the model. Using the virtual prototype, dynamic simulations of the mufti-rigid-body roller system are carried out,and the change process of the load on the roller during the whole rolling process and the load at the maximal force moment is obtained.Then, the cloud figures of the stress and deformation of the nodes, and deformation curves of the roller system are obtained when the roller system is under static maximal load using ANSYS.The maximal deformation zone of roller system is found.Finally, by using two methods, the ADAMS/AutoFlex module and the ANSYS-ADAMS interface ,two rigid-flexible coupled virtual prototypes of the roller system are established when the flexible steel tube and the flexible roller are taken into account,and the rolling process distortion analysis and simulation of the rigid-flexible coupled virtual prototype is carried out in ADAMS.The research in this paper provides some valuable conclusions and simulation approach for the design and experiment of the roller system.Besides,the idea and the method used by the paper,which synthetically make use of three-dimension design software(SolidWorks) n Multibody Dynamics Simulation Analysis Software(ADAMS) and Finite-element Analysis Software(ANSYS) to solve problem,can use for reference to similar study.
