Research On Regional Water Resources Carrying Capacity And Its Application

Water resources carrying capacity is not only a important index of estemating the sustainable development of water resources, but also a key index of connecting water resources with the sustainable development of society and economy. Research on water resources carrying capacity is a problem that the sustainable development of water resources must settle at all times.Based on the summarization of the definition of regional water resources carrying capacity in the literatures and the relation of the sustainable development and carrying capacity, water resources carrying capacity was defined and its connotation and characteristic was discussed. Based on the characteristic of system dynamics and its process of settling problem and beginning with system analysis of the water resources-zoology-society and economy system, the system dynamics model of water resources carrying capacity was founded and tested. The result indicates that model frame is compitable and model behavior is applicable and both of them is accord with fact system.Integrate the characteristic of water resource, society and economy of Suzhou region, take Suzhou regional water resources carrying capacity for example, suggestion of improving Suzhou regional water resources carrying capacity was put forward. The result indicates that the research of this paper is sound and feasible.
