There are various of spiral mechanisms being used in the practical producing process, such as oil, chemical and rudder industry and so on. And they are almost the key and advanced ones in many fields. A series of LXK Helical Slot NC Milling Machine, this machine especially suited to the economical progressing of work piece which can be used in single and multi-lobe progressive cavity pumps/motors, compressors, vacuum pumps and screw, single extruder screws. Using our machines, paralleled, tapered, cam shaped as well as polygons can be carried out and constant or variable flight width, pitch changes, flank angles and flat bottom are precisely machined.Because the special kind of machine configuration is complicated, the line form of screw section line is always complicacy and has more changes, requesting higher precision and efficiency. Hence it is important to analyze and improve the milling machine configuration, systemically, static and dynamic characteristic analysis of this milling machine was researched by experimentation, numerical simulation and theoretical analysis. In this paper, modal analysis and dynamic FEM technology are applied, the influence of inherent frequencies on working accuracy in the body of the Large-scale Milling Machine are studied, 3-D geometric model was established by ANSYS, and then the geometric model is simplified reasonably, in which tetrahedral element block, are applied to mesh 3-D geometric model of Screw milling machine, FEM model are constructed. Inherent frequencies and mode shapes of the Screw milling machine under constraint conditions were worked out by using Lanczos which is the most popular method to solve constraint modal analysis in engineering. The weak partitions of block vibration that are middle part of the body are founded by modal shape analysis and the corresponding modifications applied, and then two modification plans are mentioned in this paper. A more reasonable scheme is put forward than ever, at the same time, the relationship between working frequencies and inherent frequencies of body of the Screw Milling Machine is established. The present body is tested with site trial and modal analysis by using excitation. The inherent frequencies of the body of the Milling Machine are obtained, which is analysed and compared with the inherent frequencies of simulation, the consistency of finite element modeling and simulation and the static and dynamic properties machine are proved, from two structural simulation, so this more reasonable body structure are determined by this means.
