Medicine chemical synthesis was that middle or final medicine was produced by using oganic or inorganic materials through several reactions. The production of medicine chemical synthesis had the feature of short periodic succession and abundant production variety, and the producing process of same medicine was changed often. So the wastewater of medicine chemical synthesis often had very high concentraion and complex composition of organic pollutant, and there were great amount of toxic organic pollutant and some bioinhibitors in the water, which was treated very difficultly.Now, the treatment of medicine wastewater had no common treatment process in the world. In the developed country, the process of strong oxidization pre-treatment and dilution aerobic biochemical treatment was often used, although such process was very effective, the running cost of these processes was very expensive. Some routine physical process was also used in treatment of medicine chemical sythesis wastewater, such as flocculation precipitation, electrlysis, and chemical oxidation, and biochemical treatment often used anaerobic hydrolysis process and aerobic treatment process, but the treatment result of different wastewater varied.A typical wastewater of some medicine chemical synthesis corporation which product Gatifloxacin was studied in this research. Firstly, the produce process was analyzed in detail, the amount of used materials in every reaction was caculated, and the origin and amount of wastewater was confirmed. Through the analysis of physical and chemical characters, and bioinhibitions of main materials, we knew the possible type, concentration and biodegradation of organic pollutant in the wastewater. On the base of that, the entering water amount and organic pollutant concentration of wastewater trearment equipment design, and the reliable treatment process routine were determined, and finally we designed the wastewater engineer.We used pH adjustment, anaerobic hydrolysis, and UNITANK treatment process. The designed treatment water amount was 80 t/day, entering water COD was 800 mg/1, and the ratio of BOD/COD was less than 0.15. Wastewater was neutralized at pH 6.8-7.5, its HRT in anaerobic hydrolysis stage was 10 hours, the MLVSS was hold on 8-10 g/1, redox...
