The thesis aims to develop a kind of automatic hot billet stamping machine working for two streams of billets in continuous casting production. This machine is expected to improve the insufficiency of using manual stamping, which leads to low efficiency and high labor intensity in most of billets production companies. Applied advanced mechanical design technology, servo-control technology, pneumatic control technology and computer control technology, the machine has advantages of effective utilization, high position precision, rapid response, and superior controllability. The thesis has the following six chapters.In the first chapter, it gives a brief introduction of the function and the related technology of hot billet stamping machine, by analyzing the domestic and foreign products. It points out the origin of this project and summarizes main tasks of the thesis.In the second chapter, it deals with the overall structure of the stamping machine, its working principle, performance index and composition. The function and the construction of the mechanical system are discussed, in which the mechanical optimal design is applied in the parts design. The completion of machine part design paves the way for the control system.In the third chapter, the design specification for the control system is proposed firstly. Based on the specification, a whole design plan for the control system is worked out. The whole plan includes the study of the main parts of electricity control unit, the design for the pneumatic control plan of the air cylinder, and the analysis of the function and the construction of control program.In the fourth chapter, it deals with the movement control scheme for the stamping machine. The scheme involves the implement method for the two movement controls, the horizontal movement and the code choosing, and the construction of the servo electrical machinery and its control system mathematical model, under the guidance of which a simulation research of the code choosing servo-control system is carried on.In the fifth chapter, it works out the design specification for control programs, including the PLC program and the monitor program. According to the working principle of the stamping machine, the PLC program adopts the modular design method, debugged by both the off-line debugging and the on-line debugging. Due to the data accessing confliction and the interface reaction stagnation caused by the timer, the multi-thread programming method is discussed.In the last chapter, it involves the conclusion for the thesis and the prospects for the hot billet stamping machine.
