The main purposes of this dissertation are to get the formulas calculating the rolling forces and rolling torques based on the formula that the product of interface area and average unit pressure is average force(F·p = P), furthermore validate the exactitude and reliability of formulas by taking some rolling tests.The dissertation supposed that workpieces were deformed under perfect conditions that they were no pile-up on workpiece, made a mathematical analysis of the interfaces between rollers and workpiece, presented the equations of interfaces and equations of their boundary lines and got the solutions of these equations in a way of expressions. Then the dissertation took a statistic of the height of material pile-up of workpieces. A formula relating to the height of material pile-up was got. Formulas that were got under perfect conditions integrated with the formula of the height of material pile-up, formulas to calculate the areas of interfaces at usual deforming were educed.The dissertation got formula of strain and a formula of strain ratio of axial feed bar rolling, used a common formula of yield stress of steel 45 and used related results of unit pressures, unit pressures of axial feed bar rolling were got.The products of areas of interfaces and unit pressures are main rolling forces. Rolling forces also include the force that is used to finish the workpiece. Here regarded it as elastic recover force.
