| Hole processing technique is an important technology in machining field, it's also an applicable technology of having bright prospects nowadays in machining. The twist drill has a history of more than 100 years since it has been invented, but it is still the most extensive applied processing cutting tool in machining. Nearly 1/3 workload of the machining is hole processing, the cost is very large. In recent years the research of the twist drill has been paid more and more attention by domestic and international experts, the relevant scholar and department of the government.This paper has carried out the research mainly for some following aspects: On the basis of analysis the characteristic of the twist drill's rake face, the mathematical model of the twist drill's spiral rake face has been established; The method of resharpening the straight major cutting edge in conditions that the twist drill have been abrased or dilapidated has been discussed; On the basis of analysis the twist drill's rake angle, the optimized formula of the twist drill's major cutting edge has been established; On the basis of analysis the shortcoming of the traditional twist drill's chip-split groove, the improvement method has been put forward and the mathematical model has been established; On the basis of analysis the advantage and shortcoming of the sharpening method of the traditional twist drill's flank, a new sharpening method of the flank----helical cone sharpening method has been put forward, the mathematical model of the flank and circumferential clearance angle has been established under this sharpening method, a new kind of mathematical model of the original cone sharpening method has been put forward, the conical flank of the twist drill can be decided only by three sharpening parameters, the variable lead helical sharpening method has been put forward already, but the related mathematics model hasn't been established yet, and it has been established in this paper; The shape model of the twist drill's rake face has been established by three-dimensional design software Pro/E, and the solid model of the twist drill has been established by three-dimensional design software UG, the method of measure the angles after the flank face has been sharpened under a certain sharpening parameters by using the two three-dimensional model has been put forward, the method of optimize the sharpening parameters by using three-dimensional design software Pro/E has been put forward too. |
