The clamping system is the most important mechanical parts of the injection moulding machine, the platens are primary components. The platens of injection moulding machine have the roles of fixing moulding and guiding motion benchmark, they also have rather complex structure and force condition. Technicians in engineering usually design the platens approximately based on experience, which results in some of the cracks have been found in some platens every now and then. The study researched the structure and strength of the platens in injection moulding machine, just met the requires of some factory.The study analyzed series of platens of some factory by ANSYS engineering software, so as to find out the places where displacement produced and the stress distributed. Based on this, structural optimization of the front platen model was carried out. From that, conclusions can be drawn as follows:...
