Water is the most important material basis, which decide human's survive and development . Lake is nature resource that the product and live in the society of human is indispensable. Recently, a large number of water quality of lakes has been worst polluted and the abundant nutrition become serious, this phenomena was especially apparent in famous Dianchi, Taihu and Chaohu. China have been developed some recesure in Taihu and Dianchi in the age of 70,but this study was lack in many aspects.The mostly content of the report investigated the GIS ( geographical information systems ) and the RS ( remote sensing ) of aeronautic and analyzed their compositive ways. Illustrated with Taihu, RS and technology GIS were applied in order to achieve the system of monitor and assessment of aqueous environment. System made the data of actual measuring and picture of remote sensing relate with the spacial orientation and carried through the spacial statistical analysis so as to realize the visualization of the polluted condition representation of water environment and the data of farthest share, satisfying exert the predominance of information technology and to provide bases for the layout and decision-making of management department.For one thing, the research briefly introduced the development and application of RS and the GIS technology in the domain of water environment. It emphatically analyzed and concluded the compositive applying technology of RS and GIS technology in actual work, especially the monitoring field of water environment.In succession, analyzing and designing made the monitoring and evaluating system of water environment of the Taihu basin come true, which not only visually showed the consumers the information of water environment and pollution of the Taihu basin by charts or curves, but also provided the functions of statistics, querying and evaluating of the water quality so as to make knowing the water quality for consumers frankly and easily, which offered the monitoring of water environment the applied and valuable ways of using for reference.
