This paper focuses on the classification and control of the stability of the surrounding rocks of stopes and roadways on the background of Xiadian Gold Mine. The association method of actual measurement, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation is used to analyse and research the law.First, the influencing factors of stability of the surrounding rocks are analysed, and the influencing index is extracted from the complex factors; then the ratio of weight dedication of each factor is researched, and the required factors are determined; after that, the improved Backpropagation Neural Networks is used to build the identifying model to realize the classification analysis on the stability of the surrounding rocks of stopes and roadways, and on base of the classification, the control scheme is put forward . Then, the FLAC3D is adapted to simulate the control scheme in order to optimize the support methods and support parameters, and provide the theoretical basis and scientific foundation for reasonable exploitation design and safety in production and administration. At last, the method of classification and control is used to deal with the water pump house and load distribution house at 4th and 12th section in main shaft and the result shows that the method is reliable.
