Based on thorough analysis about the shaft rupture mechanism, considering the causes of shaft wall destroyed, combined whole deformation monitoring of the mine with local stress examination, a design scheme of shaft automatic monitoring and warning system using M-BUS and the RS-485 is proposed. This system is designed systematically and generally in this article.This system is composed of three network system structures which is intelligent sensor, the detection substation, monitoring computer and the computer local area network. The system take the computer as a core, which is connected to intelligence sensor under shaft through the detection substation . As the center of the computer and the intelligent sensor, on one hand the detection substation gather and memory survey data from intelligence sensor under shaft cross M-Bus, on the other hand it communicate with the surveillance computer, transmitting the gathered data to surveillance computer. the surveillance computer will record, memory, process and alarm according to data, then send the detecting information to computer local area work for related workers browsing record and taking measure.This design has mainly done the following several works. First is to establish the whole design of the system. Second is making the hardware circuit and software design of this system. The third is designing hardware circuit and software of the detection substation. The last is to elaborate the working principle, designing mentality and realizing method, computer software.This system integrates modern signal gathering technology, signal transmitting technology, information processing technology and computer network technology. It has realized the monitoring and control of the shaft wall timely and stability, and has realized automatic and intellectual shaft wall examination.
