Cigarette making and plug assembling combination is a key equipment in cigarette production. The production organization of cigarette enterprises, quality assurance of products and cost control are closely related to the automation level and stability, reliability, maintainability of cigarette making and plug assembling combination. At present, model ZJ19 cigarette making and plug assembling combination(ZJ19 combination) is one of the main models equipped in cigarette enterprises in China,but the techniques of electronic control system of ZJ19 combination have already fallen behind, which has restricted the full play of ZJ19 combination's comprehensive benefits seriously. So, it is urgent to upgrade and rebuild the electronic control systems. In this paper, the technical defects of electronic control system of ZJ19 combination were pointed out. The electronic control systems of advanced combinations abroad were introduced. The process flow of ZJ19 combination and its requirements against control system were analyzed. After that, the technical scheme and characteristics of new electronic control system were introduced.Based on the technical scheme of new electronic control system, this study focused on software design and implementation of host computer in the new electronic control system.
