The development of modern technology provides lots of measuring method for industry, such as photography system for industry which is based on solid imaging equipments and so on. Though the hardware technology of photography system for industry is developing rapidly, the data-analyzing technology for numeric pictures is dropping behind comparatively. It is tried in this paper to study the tensile deformation of rubber film using combination between CCD measurement and LabVIEW IMAQ system, and it will be of great importance in theory and practice. The work mostly does the following:Firstly, the results of academic study in theory and practice using non-contact method to do precise measurements is summarized, and the mostly characteristics of this paper have been put forward.Secondly, displacement method is used in this paper in elastic mechanic for reference and some concepts in non-linear continuum mechanics. The nonlinear characteristics of rubber have been considered, and some examples have been calculating.Thirdly, the basic characteristics of the hardwares in measuring system have been discussed to select the appropriate hardwares.Fourthly, the theories of processing numeric pictures have been discussed to bring forward the programs used to measure the super-deformation of rubber.Finally, these programs have been executed in experiments to test their effects.In this paper, the mechanical models are the foundations and the theories of processing numeric pictures are the kernels. The methods and the programs have engineering practical meaning to measure the super-deformation of rubber.
