In this paper, a new technology, that is the double-ended pouring technology which is used to compound high-chromium resistant cast iron in internal-wall of steel pipe with centrifugal casting, is introduced in. The digital simulation can be used into the simulation of this working process, enabling the centrifugal casting to walk out the present unknown situation which is based on experience and decided nature, and enter into the new condition that is scientific, predictable and with fixed quantity. It can predict the defeating, optimize the technology, guide the production and finally come to the effective control over the quality of ironing poles. The whole simulation system mainly includes the three modules: the pre- processing, calculation and the post-processing. Among them, the pre-processing module supplies the following modules with the needed grid information for calculation and it is also the premise and basis for numerical analysis. Its performance will directly influence the practicality and accuracy of the whole system. The post-processing module (visible calculating results) shows out the simulation result that all the users concern, providing them with the accurate basis for making decision for a project. As a result, the pre and post processing modules play an important part in the whole simulation system.ObjectARX is applied in the pre-processing module for the further exploration of AutoCAD2006.As a result, the two dimensional outline of the Centrifugal Casting Machine, the pipe model and the pipe itself is gained. At the same time, the information on material and some other concerned ones are acquired too. Then the paper of self-defined format is worked out. And then in the two-dimensional plane, scan a bunch of parallel lines, calculate the nodal coordinates of the scanning line and the two-dimensional line according to the ways of area filling, determine the unit that should be included in the two dimensional outline, and place the quality number of the material to the corresponding unit at last. In this way, the mesh generation of the ironing pipe is finished.The IDL programming is adapted in the post-processing module. In such ways, detailed observation on the isotherm, the temperature filed, the temperature trends of the ironing pipe is made, and meanwhile, dynamic simulation is achieved. Making full use of the advantage of IDL in the area of visible data will raise the displaying rate of the procedure and the efficiency of software exploration. That will lay a good foundation for the later online monitor.After putting the pre and post processor into the practice of the digital simulation on centrifugal casting, it shows that it is reliable, effective and practical.
