| ASPEN PLUS is widely used all over the world now, because it is versatile and powerful. Depending on exact models and scientific calculation methods, ASPEN PLUS can simulate the process flowsheet strictly. The low temperature methanol washing technology was an effective gas refining technique. Low temperature methanol used as solvent, the technology can remove the acid gas, such as H2S, CO2. Operated at low temperature and high pressure, high purification and good selectivity can be gained.Firstly, the vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) is studied. The two methods of VLE, which are equation of state (EOS) and activity coefficient method, are studied in detail. After the research of EOS, we get the conclusion that the PSRK modules are more exact for the process of low temperature and high pressure. We use the ASPEN PLUS to simulate the two towers of Shanghai Coking and Chemical Corporation's RECTISOL installation. The model is RadFrac without the condenser and reboiler. After the simulation, the deviation between simulation and the real process is discussed to search for the reason of it.The simulation of RECTISOL is successful, and there is only a little deviation between simulation and the real process. It proves that ASPEN PLUS is an excellent process flowsheet simulation program. |
