Along with the fast development of chemistry industry in China, new technics, new material and new technique change quickly, the quantity of the dangerous chemicals increase rapidly, such as crude oil, liquefied petroleum gas etc. These dangerous chemicals are inflammable and explosive, so its fire risk is much more serious. And at present accidental fires in industry hazards appear rising tendency, it has become one of very important problems that country pays more attention to, and that social universally focus on, and that has urgent need to be solved. For prevent and control the occurrence of fires in industry hazards, it has great significance to study on the industry hazards to economy, society and politics.Based on the analysis and comment to the fire assessment technique over the world, this paper discussed the possibility of the fuzzy synthetic assessment. Applying fuzzy mathematics theory, the author utilized the fuzzy synthetic assessment and performance-based design into industry hazards fire hazard assessment, established the mode of fuzzy synthetic assessment, and the example proved its scientificalness and validity.This paper includes mainly:1. Analyzed and compared with various safety assessment methods, aim at the characteristic of typical industry hazards, the author chose fuzzy synthetic assessment to evaluate the fire hazards, and then establish the fuzzy synthetic assessment model.2. Analyzed the steps of performance-based design, the author establish the mode of performance-based design in this text, and chose FDS software to carry out performance-based design.3. On the basis of fuzzy synthetic assessment and performance-based design, the author established the mode of fuzzy synthetic assessment of typical industry hazards.4. The author applied the fuzzy synthetic assessment mode of typical industry hazards to an EPS storage. First, the author used fuzzy synthetic assessment to get the fire dangerous rank of this storage and the measurement which need to be improved, then used computer to evaluate the fire of this storage according to the performance-based design mode. Finally, the author used the fuzzy synthetic assessment to validate the evaluation.
