The method of all-position automatic welding is becaming more and moreimportant in the pipeline-welding.Aiming at this condition,a kind ofall-position automatic welding machine for pipeline is developed,of whichindustry PC is base and PMAC motion controller is core. Accomplish thedesign of mechanical structure and automatic controlling system. Mechanicalstructure is consist of welding dolly and welding orbit,and the welding dollyincludes running gear,tilting mechanism and raising mechanism.The perfection ofthe control style and the harmony between mechanical part and electrical partwas thoroughly incarnated by the design of mechanical structure. The systemof hardware is composed of industrial computer,PMAC motion controller,PWM power amplifier and AMPC-9100 data acquisition unit. The softwareincludes the interface between machine and man,large welding parametersdatabase, the program of automatic welding .In addition, the precious PIDfeedback of electricity and voltage improve the material transfer and the inputof linear heat.The experiment shows that this machine is precious andreliable.The machine can accomplish continious multi-layer weldingautomatically and improves the welding quality and production efficiencyon account of the coordinate movement of three direction. So it meets the demand of modern pipeline industry and has high engineer applicationvalue.At the same time,it can suit different welding methods through matchingdifferent arc-welding powers and has good transportability.
