It is current trends in the petrochemical enterprises that the cold needed in the production process was produced by LiBr refrigeration mechanism drove by waste heat. This is an important topic in energy economization and environment protection today.First of all, absorption cooling system was analyzed at large in this paper, the way of calculation in heat burden of the LiBr refrigeration mechanism and the thermal load of equipments and the area of equipments were discussed. Secondly, this paper gives the parameter model of water and lithium bromide solution and optimization designing of absorption cooling system, and a program for optimization is provided using fmincon function that is a function of MATLAB software, and the cooling system has maximal coefficient of performance and the minimum area for heat exchanging components and the minimum ACO for heat exchanging components. Finally, it is found that the parameter of operation has effect on the performance of refrigeration mechanism, the result shows important.
