In total energy consumption of sintering process, nearly50% of the heat of sintering machine flue gas and cooling machine wastegas is discharged into the atmosphere in the form of sensible heat, theheat is wasted and the environment is polluted. Formerly, the people donot pay enough attention to recycle the sintering gas because itstemperature is not high. But in fact, sintering waste gas is not only inlarge quantities, but also the recyclable heat is very abundant.This paper mainly takes sintering waste heat recovery as the researchobject, analyses the difference between various recovery processes athome and abroad, summarizes a set of suitable recovery process fordomestic sintering process (including sintering machine, coolingmachine). Using heat-pipe technology in sintering machine main air-draftflue, using hot air circulation technology in circular cooling machine toimprove heat quality; Using finned-tube bundle as heat transfer surface toenhance heat-transfer coefficient and reduce the weight of equipment;Using double-pressure boiler to reduce the exhaust temperature andenhance the recycling coefficient.This paper introduces the technological process, the form of HUboilerUH,the characteristics of internal structure, deduces the computing methodabout heat exchange and hot air resistance. The heat power generation project of 200m2 sintering machine in Fujian three steel adopted the waste heat recovery technology, the application effect was tested.During several months of debugging and running, a large amount of data was collected. The engineering practice shows that, installing heat-pipe heat exchanger in sintering machine main air-draft flue and double-pressure boiler of cooling machine could make full use of waste heat in sintering without the influence. The effect is very ideal, and it has great application value. But it also has disadvantage in its structure, and need to be improved constantly.
