In this project, a regional middle-water system is designed to treat domestic wastewater in INNER MONGOLIA TECHNICAL COLLEGE OF CONSTRUCTION. The sewage treatment plant can treat 1080m~3/d of wastewater working at its designed maximal power totally, 430m3 (40% of the sun) of it can be used for irrigation after the second treatment, and the other 650m3 (60% of the sum) can be used to clear washroom or irrigate lawn after the third treatment.By analysis the water supply and drainage system and the influence between the sewage and environment, building a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in campus is feasible. After making water balance analysis and comparing all kinds of wastewater treatment processes, bio-contact oxidation process is applied, and a set of correlative design such as technics design and selection of equipment are accomplished. After debugging and operating this system, an analysis is carried out. The conclusion is that constructing a local middle-water system in campus is feasible, economical, and good to society, environment and education. In cold area of north of China,because the structures of treatment are built underground deeply, the temperature in WWTP can be kept at a proper level so that microorganism can propagate heavy. Otherwise, this kind of WWTP needs a small area of construction only, and it can separate the sullage from wastewater efficiently. As far as a school is concerned, how to supply the microorganism enough nourishment in the school holidays is required. In this design, a special operating model is adapted to solve the problem above that nourishment is pumped from septic tank to MMTP termly even in the holiday. Due to all parameter data of testing during the recent two years of operation is up to《Daily Miscellaneous water quality standards GJ25.1-89》and《Sewage discharge standards》, this regional middle-water treatment system is considered as a steady doable system which meets the anticipative desire ultimately.
