With the rapid growth in synthetic national-power of China, a speedily development phase with mechanical manufacturing has arrived. The quantity-demanded of high-strength and high-precision shaft-part is gradually increasing in aviation, astronavigation and mechanical industry. Because there are many advantages such as high productivity, good continuity of metal wool in tooth face, high strength and better wear resisting property of tooth face, the non-cutting forming technology by cold rolling is more and more regarded and widely used in production of high-strength and high-precision spline. The deformation mechanism of spline cold rolling is complicated. So the research of the theory and mechanics analysis on process of spline cold rolling is few in the world. The existing forming technology and the production often depend on experience. The systemic theory instructing the production is lack. The processing mechanics of spline cold rolling is analyzed.This paper inferred the calculational formula of rolling stress and the rolling moment, through analyzing the shape mechanics of the deformation mechanism of spline cold rolling. It also researched the effect of technique parameter such as compressibility and cutting feed speed, and confirmed the primary technique parameter.Based on entity's model through the software Pro/E of the three-dimensional model, then changed file format to channel into Deform-3D ,I have set up the spline cold rolling to press the finite element model. In the after treatment of simulation of finite element, through analyzing mould to cut ,radial and axial load,it can be educed the pressure and size of axial force rolled in the course of rolling and pressing of workpiece .by the analysis of workpiece velocity field, axial distribution, stress of flowing in the course of spline cold rolling,in this course we can summarize metal flowing rule, deformation degree and speed ,at the same time we can realize that the workpiece metal of heart department is not participated in deformation , the deformation intensity of the part of root of tooth is greater than the top, but the deformation degree in root is less than in top.Through the cold rolling experiment in a Z28-80 machine ,we can summarize the deformation in different cutting feed speed, and confirm the exactness of the theory from practice.
