| A Reconfigurable Manufacturing System (RcMS) is one which was designed at the outset for rapid and cost-effective reconfiguration, being system level-oriented and production resource level-oriented, in order to provide rapid and exact production capacity needed in response to new market demands and functionality needed to produce a new part of the same part family. This paper expatiates on the research status and development of the Reconfigurable Manufacturing System, advances the opinion of guide line on the RcMS. The key technology of the RcMS which is modularized technology was discussed. The modularized designed method and characteristic between the Reconfigurable machine tool and the traditional machine tool were systemically analysed. It discusses the layout and analyses the control structure which is holarchy of the RcMS. The reconfigurable machine tool is the basic of the RcMS, establish or afresh newly itself for the specifically custommer's requirement, it can transition cost-efficiently when the requirement was changed. According to the development of numerical control system in and out of our country nowadays and the progress of the research on the reconfigurable machine tool, this dissertation has introduced the function structure, the basic characteristics of reconfigurable machine tool and the modularization design requirement of mechanism and numerical control system. Finally, in this article, combining the reconfigurable machine tool and the reconfigurable numerical control system, research the design of the deep-hole machine. Then the numerical control deep-hole machine has been separated to several modules, and each module has been designed concretely for their structures. All of this is in the interest of maximumly reducing the functional redundancies and the machine's reconfigurable costs. |
