Along with main oil field of our country enter into a middle or late term of exploitation,the oil wells are increasing constantly.Because of the need of using different downhole tools to operate in different oil wells,different production technology and different well conditions, the design and test of downhole tools have been an important technical problems in development of the oil field.In this paper,basing on the research about downhole tools recently,an simulation platform for downhole tools'design and test is developed by the way of computer simulating technic combined with production technology.This platform can provide a new way for the design and analysis of downhole tools.The first present simulation of ZDM type drill left hand fishing spear in downhole by using SolidWorks and the kinematic simulation plug-in COSMOSMotion,which can not only observe the whole working condition,but also test the working performance of ZDM type drill left hand fishing spear.Second, this peper combines SolidWorks with Visiual Basic6.0 environment, using SolidWorks API function to establish parametric simulation wells in the method of object oriented programming. According to the design method of wells, revise the pose matrix of downhole tools to complete the motion simulation of downhole tools.Using the theory of contact non-linear finite element, establishing rubber type, slip type, cylinder type, ring type and plate type parts'finite element models. Base on the ANSYS software to complete the downhole tools parts'performance analysis.Finally, using the tool of VB6.0, assembling the motion simulation and parts'finite element, the software platform is set up. And the examples about simulation and analysis using this platform are given.The simulation platform of downhole, use the simulation technology to simulate the put down condition of downhole tools dynamically, and use parametric methods to optimize the design of downhole tools parts. The study results provide new theory and method for designing and analysing downhole tools, and offer precious reference for stepping up the downhole tools'design level.
