Research On Structure And Simulation Of The Jacquard Warp-knitted Fabric

Currently some CAD systems which are used to simulate jacquard warp knitted fabrics have been developed abroad. Such systems have been wildly accepted and put into use in developed countries. In recent years the number of domestic factories which product jacquard warp knitted fabrics is growing. While inside China, there is only a fraction of fabric manufacturers take advantage of imported CAD systems. Therefore, the simulation research on jacquard warp knitted fabric will be of great value. This study is set on a background of above-mentioned circumstances.Based on the warp knitting knowledge, taking computer graphics and programming techniques as tools, multidisciplinary application is a key to complete the study.The paper deeply analyses the construction of jacquard warp knitted fabric, gets the fabric appearance character as well as influencing parameters of it. The thesis does research on correlative mathematical models for simulation of this kind of fabric. The paper sets up the geometry model of jacquard warp knitted fabric. For solving the problem of distortion of the loop caused by yarn tension, the offset theory and calculation formula were given. The simple illumination model of yarn is set up, it applies the regular color change to reflect the illumination effect, achieves to use two dimensional model to make the three dimensional picture, further improves the simulation of jacquard warp knitted fabric. At last, the hairiness was simulated using fractal curve.The paper presents that computer technology and textile technology can be combined perfectly, which will solve the problems of development of simulation of the jacquard warp knitted fabrics.
