With long history, china has so many ancient buildings. While the level of our country's economy and civilization are being enhanced, the protection of the ancient buildings are more and more important for our country and the whole society. The fire protection about ancient buildings is an important part in the protection of the ancient, which needs deeper research in the science of fire protection about ancient buildings and can provide necessary theory to make the low of fire protection about ancient buildings.By introducing fire, fire science and security science, the author deeply analyzes the characteristics and dual rule of fire and discusses the developing direction of modern fire protection science. The purpose of this paper is to put up an idea of fire risk evaluation system concerning the fire situation and security status of ancient building. The ancient buildings has many kinds of fashions, the author choose two typical styles for analysis, they are the house of Yangshangkun in Tongnan town of Chonging and the yuantong attic in Wuhan. By computer simulation, the author get the temperature distribution in different fire scenario, these data will provide foundation and evidence for fire risk evaluation system. An experimental simulation which is finished in the institute of fire protection in Sichuan province has also been done to validate computer simulation.Base on the simulation result, the author provide an concrete fire protection system of ancient building and detailed analyzes the whole project of establishing the system as well as the relevant evaluating and mathematical measure. Found on these researches, the author brings forward the critical issues in the process of establish the system and analyzes its prospect of applicability.
