The belt conveyer is a type of large scale continuous conveying equipment, which is related with subjects of machinery,hydraulics,electronics and control. Study belt conveyer is very important because it can offer experiment data and theoretically for real belt conveyer machine design and manufacture. Tension apparatus is a key part of the belt conveyer and the exact tension control of it is the key to whether the belt conveyer can performance-improved by us.This paper puts forward a kind of automatic tension system, and the modeling simulation verified the feasibility. Also a simulation model of the mechanical-hydraulic control system for the belt conveyer is established by AMESim software. Simulate the automatic tension system with PID and Fuzzy PID with the AMESim and Matlab union simulate, also compare with the experimental result. To sum up,the author obtains some main conclusions.1. Mathematical modeling simulate the automatic tension apparatus, confirmed the feasibility.2. Simulate the automatic tension system with PID and Fuzzy PID control by the AMESim and Matlab union simulate, the result shows both the PID control and Fuzzy PID control can highlight the quality of the control, and Fuzzy PID control get better result.3. Compare the simulation results to the results of field experiment. Conclusion shows that there are same to each other very well, also the control strategy of PID and Fuzzy PID are feasible.In a word, the paper provides necessary theoretical support for application of belt conveyor automatic tension apparatus.
