Based on this, this article on water safety evaluation theories and methods were studied and the typical karst provinces - Guizhou Province as an example, its water security situation in the time variations were evaluated. In this paper, the main contents and methods are as follows: At the basis of previous studies, more systematic summary and outlines the basic theory of safe water, including water safety concepts, connotations, denotation and its basic characteristics. At the same time, raised water safety evaluation in Guizhou Province's basic theory and methods, to build a karst region water security evaluation index system; evaluation indicators and standardized treatment; also the basis of uniform distribution functions will be divided into regional water security situation in Level 5.
