With the rapid development of science and technology, analysis science is facing new opportunity and rigorous challenge. The selective separation and enrichment of metal ions are two important foreland field in analytical chemistry.Although many instrument analysis methods possessing higher sensitivity and selectivity have been developed recently, pretreatment of trace elements is still necessary because classification of samples is complicated and concentration of analytes is estremely low. The solid-phase extraction is a simple, great efficiency and flexble method for pretreatment of the samples. This paper mainly described the preparation of several extractants based on the parameters of SPE technology such as selectivity, maximum adsorption capacity and equilibrium time et al..The more detailed novelty of this research can be categorized as following:1.p-tert[(dimethylamino)methyl]-calix[4]arene functionalized aminopropylpoly-siloxane resin was prepared and confirmed by infrared spectra(IR) and element analysis.Analytical characteristics of the sorbents for Cr(â…¢),Cu(â…¡),Ni(â…¡),Co(â…¡) and Zn(â…¡) have been investigated and a reliable method is restablished for the solid-phase extraction of trace Cr(â…¢),Cu(â…¡),Ni(â…¡),Co(â…¡) and Zn(â…¡) in solution samples.2.N,N-dimethylpropyl-tert-butyl-calix[4]arene acetoamide was synthesized and investigated for selective solid-phase extraction of trace Au(â…¢),Pd(â…¡) and Pt(â…£) in solution samples. The optimum conditions for adsorption were discussed in detail, and the experimental results revealed that the analytes could be adsorbed and recovered quantitatively. The main parameters of solid-phase extraction were optimized and based on this a new determination method of Au(â…¢),Pd(â…¡) and Pt(â…£) was developed.3.A new sorbent of paraphenylenediamine modified activated carbon(AC-PD) was prepared and investigated for selective solid-phase extraction of trace Hg2+ prior to their determination by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry. The separation/preconcentration conditions of analytes were investigated, including effect of pH,the shaking time, the sample flow rate and volume, the elution condition and the interfering ions et al..The experimental results revealed that the new sorbent possessing good selectivity and adsorption capacity for Hg2+.
