In order to solve the problems associated with complex operation environment and geology conditions during deepwater drilling process, dual gradient drilling technology has been researched and developed by the international petroleum industry. Among all the implementations studied, Riserless mud recovery drilling technology and subsea mudlift drilling technology had passed industry application, which can overcome many problems encountered in deepwater drilling. The present paper is sponsored by"Development of large scale oil&gas field and coalbed gas"National science and technology major special project (2008ZX05026-01), research was carried on the subsea mudlift drilling technology and subsea mudlift pump.Based on the study of the related technology abroad, schemes of the pump which can transport mud from seabed to surface was studied, a scheme of subsea mudlift drilling system and key equipments was proposed.By applying the Fluent CFD software, flowfiled of the disc pump impeller under single phase flow was analysed based on k-εturbulence module, and further simulation of the low concentration solid-liquid two phase flow was analysed utilizing the discrete phase modle, come to law of the pressure and velocity field distribution of the disc impeller inner flow filed. Impact on the performance of the disc pump and abrasion of the impeller surface under different impeller structure and fluid property was studied through contrast test separately,orthogonal test was also used to analyse the performance of the disc pump on multiple factors and levels, performance of the pump and law of abrasion of the impeller surface were come out, which have a guiding effect to the design of the disc pump modle machine test.Modle machine test of the disc pump was proposed with the result of simulation and expect target, in order to decrease test period, reduce ecnomic cost and reuse of the test materials, and disc pump modle machine and test system pipeline were designed, power and testing equipments were arrangened for the test-bed, and it have a reference meaning for the disc pump prototype test.
