Work roller's thermal deformation, as one of the most important content of strip theory, its influencing factors is various, its boundary conditions is complicated, so the work roller is always a weak links in the area of strip research and control. so studying it has important theoretical and practical significance.The article systematically studies the work roller's thermal deformation. Dynamic formation mechanism, establishes temperature field and thermal crown simulation model, identifies its heat transfer equation and boundary conditions, analyzes its relations and features about heat input and output, discusses heat load's simplified calculation, and gives water cooling, rolling temperature, contact heat transfer's formula.Utilizing large-scale finite element software ANSYS, simulates and calculates BaoGang high-intensity mill's work roller's thermal deformation, obtains its internal distribution situation, that is, work roller's temperature changes in one circle, temperature transfer regulation and the whole trend; then transforms thermal unit to structural unit, analyzes transient dynamics'work roller, reads the thermal analysis result to structure field, gets work roller's internal stress and judging whether is suitable, then receives its deformation, at last, gains the final work roll's shape curve.At last, using ThermaCAMP30, measures work roller temperature field and temperature curve at a certain time and certain place; comparing to the theoretical calculation, we can see that is consistent; using the analysing function of the ThermaCAMP30, gains the temperature curve and the work roll's shape curve. All of them proves the correctness of theoretical analysis and the rationalization of the heat transfer coefficient.
