Based on the research of National Nature Science Fund Project "Complex electromechanical product design quality evaluation system of multi-scale research and preventive control technology(50835008)" and the production requirement of the Borch -Mechanical Co., Ltd., the FEM Simulation and Optimization of toggle clamping mechanism is studied. The structure of this dissertation is as followed:In the first chapter, the research background of the dissertation is reviewed and the overview and trends in the development of injection molding machine at home and abroad in introduced. The construction of clamping mechanism and its current research situation is delivered, the significance of independence design of clamping mechanism is put forward. Then the source of the project, main research contents and arrangement of all chapters is given.In the second chapter, product-customization design approach is studied and the design process model of clamping mechanism of injection molding machine is proposed.In the third chapter, the clamping molding mechanism is modeled based on the TOP-DOWN modeling approach, in support of the following chapters. Kinematic theory of clamping mechanism is analyzed and its virtual prototype is established and kinematic simulation and optimization is carried out.In the fourth chapter, the overall static analysis of clamping mechanism is put forward and then front board and motional board is analyzed individually. The motional board, the largest and most important part is focused in research and its fatigue analysis is carried out, after which the lifetime of motional board is calculated.In the fifth chapter, related theories of FEA topological optimization and parametrical optimization are studied. Using topological optimization function of ANSYS, the front board and the motional board is analyzed in order to find the optimized structure; parametrical optimization is also put forward to ascertain the front board and the motional board's actual structure dimension. Finally, boards before and after optimization are compared using FEM comparative analysis approach, and the rationality and feasibility of the optimization on boards' structure are examined.In the sixth chapter, all the work of dissertation is summarized. Achievements and lack of the research are analyzed and suggestions have been made. The future development and research work are prospected.
