HC 6-high mill has good shape control ability, which has been widely used in strip production especially in precision strip production, so the parametric design and finite element analysis of the key components has practical significance. To"The large mill generic technology"belong to this issue of national science and technology support program as the research background, to 1420HC 6-high mill as the study objective, doing mixed program using Pro / ENGINEER secondary development tool Pro / TOOLKIT and VC6.0, the dissertation develops a set of parametric design system for the HC 6-high mill, and analyses the rolls and stand of the mill designed with finite element software.First, the paper describes the general steps of the secondary development with Pro / TOOLKIT; establishs basic framework using MFC visual programming techniques and Pro / TOOLKIT menu technology to support parametric design system of the mill; expounds three-dimensional model developed method of rolls and stand and establishs model; demonstrates the process of setting model parameters and establishing parameters relationship; studies the method to achieve mill parametric design in system interface, completes shape design and strength check of the stand and rolls model, through the model read, retrieve and modify the parameters, regenerate of the model, components assembly, interference checking and drawing setting and generating, achieves the design parameters in the system; for the use features of large mill standard parts, the standard parts library of large mill was established.Rolls and stand are the main bearing parts, which need to be strength and stiffness. This paper carries out stiffness analysis of the stand with Marc finite element software, obtains the principle of stand stiffness with the variation of rolling force, checks and verifies the stand design to meet the stiffness and strength requirements; analyses the strength and deformation of the roll system, checks the fracture strength and contact strength between rolls to verify the roll designed to meet requirements; considers mill stiffness in different lateral shift, draws mill horizontal and vertical stiffness curve.Finally, take the process of 1420HC 6-high mill system and chassis design for example, demonstrates operating process and use of the mill parametric system.
