EDM is a special process method of modern metal surface. The process of Electricity pulse discharged was used to process and repair metal work-piece surface. This method was widely used in the surface coating of work-piece and repairmen the size of tool, mould and so on. The pulse electric power plays an important role in the processing of coating and machining. The shortage of the current electric power was analysised in this paper, and an improvement scheme was put forward, A new, more accurate control, more convenient to operate, and more saving digital inverter EDM coating power was designed. The main content of this paper are:EDM cladding process was firstly introduced in this paper, and the application field of the coating EDM process, the development and application of the technology in industry, the main effect for the application of electric spark coating and the main parameters of process capability were mainly introduced. The current power of electric spark coating and it's development status of the power were also introduced detailly in this paper.In order to solve the problems of current power mentioned in this topic, A new pulse EDM coating of power supply designation was put forward in this paper. The design of electric power supply main circuit in this paper mainly includes:the selection and main circuit structure and inverter circuit design of the supply power, the selection and calculation of the main circuit, and the inverter driving part. The control circuit design part mainly include:the selection of the control chip and its model, the design of the control circuit, the design and output signal of the inverter control system, the make of the control board PCB and so on. At the same time, based on completely accomplish the design of the control system corresponding application was written, The software and hardware design of the control part were completed.In the process of the power design, some effective anti-disturb measures were used, hardware design and software design were the main two aspects of the measures. The stability of the power supply was improved by the effective anti-interference design.Weaning debugging and Online debugging were respectively done in this paper, The Rationality, scientific and practical of the main circuit and control circuit were well verified by these two debugging.At last, some improved advices were put forward in allusion to problems and deficiency in this converting power supply, which are expected to make the whole system more reliable and more ideal.
