Sinter production played an important role in iron and steel making process, the proportion of mixed ore would not only have effect on the quality and output of sinter directly, but also the cost. Currently, the stationary source for Shanxi Yigang Iron&Steel Company(JISCO) is not available for its geographical limits. The iron-material is mainly depended on the domestic and foreign markets which make a complicated and variable sinter material source. Thus, it has a great practical significance for JISCO to distribute sinter ore reasonably, obtaining optimal proportion of agglomerate, and finally minimize the cost of sinter ore under the precondition of material mix variance and the stock quantity limitation.The performance of every iron ore fine agglomeration, rational scheme and technical parameters of ore proportion for sintering were studied in this paper. Following were the main substances of this research:agglomeration rules of import-iron ores (focuses on the PB iron ore); application raw materials available for low silicon sintering; rules of sulfate residue agglomeration. The conclusion can be made based on the research as follows:1),The intensity, finished product ratio, reductive degree and low temperature reduction degradation rate of sinters are improved by adding rational PB ore fine in sintering process(30-35%).2),The influence of basicity and MgO in low silicon sintering was discussed. Under the raw material condition of Yigang Iron and steel company, the basicity ought to be controlled around 2.2; Because of the double interaction of MgO for low silicon sintering, the content of MgO should be 3.3 percent at present condition, because an excessive low MgO content would lead to lower abrasion resistance, while a higher MgO content would lead to low sinter intensity.3),The best data can be obtained under the condition of adequate carbon content, rational scheme of import iron adding,15% of sulfate residue content.4),After the conclusion of test applied to the production, the mixture of<3mm is reduced 12%,3mm to 5mm and 5mm to 8mm is increased 6%,7%, respectively. Daily output is 3118t today compared with 2732t in original times, and the use of the coefficients from 1.6t/m2h to 1.9t/m2h, meet the requirement of blast furnace materials.On the base of the studies above, rational matching ore for sintering and technical parameters are received by planning scheme of sinter and analyzing experiments. The results of this research enriched the theories of iron ore agglomeration and may play an import role in production operation, process control and scientific research.
