Currently, the construction of copper (II) complexes containing amino acid derivatives has become one of the particularly important and topical subjects in the fields of coordination chemistry, material chemistry and biological chemistry et al. because of their versatile coordination modes and potential functions. In this paper, 15 derivants of amino were synthesized by the reactions of phthalic anhydride, 4-nitro-phthalic anhydride, benzoyl chloride with 6 natural amino acids and their structure are determined by IR, MS, 1H NMR and elemental analysis. 8 complexes were synthesized by these derivants of amino acid and 1,10,-phen, 2,2,-bipy and copper. These compounds were characterized by IR, elemental analysis and x-ray, and their variations on structure and property were also discussed. The thesis contains the following works.1. 15 derivants of amino were synthesized. Their formulas are as follows: (1) phthaloylglycine(C10H7N1O4) (2) phthaloyl-L-alanine(C11H9N1O4) (3) phthaloyl-L-valine(C13H13N1O4) (4) phthaloyl-L-leucine(C14H15N1O4) (5) phthaloyl-L-isoleucine(C14H15N1O4) (6) phthaloyl-L-phenylalanine(C17H13N1O4) (7) 4-nitro-phthaloylglycine(C10H6N2O6) (8) 4-nitro-phthaloyl-L-alanine(C11H8N2O6) (9) 4-nitro-phthaloyl-L-phenylalanine(C17H12N2O6) (10) N-benzoylglycine(C9H9N1O3) (11) N-benzoyl-L-alanine(C10H11N1O3) (12) N-benzoyl-L-valine(C12H15N1O3) (13) N-benzoyl-L-leucine(C13H17N1O3) (14) N-benzoyl-L-isoleucine(C13H17N1O3) (15) N-benzoyl-L-phenylalanine(C16H15N1O3) 2. 8 copper (II) complexes containing amino acid derivatives were synthesized. Their formulas are as follows:(1) Cu(C12H8N2)(C10H6NO4)2 (2) [Cu(C10H8N2)(C10H6NO4)(H2O)2]C10H6NO4.2.5H2O (3) Cu(C12H8N2)(C11H8NO4)2 (4) Cu(C12H8N2)(C11H8NO4)2 (5) [Cu2(C17H12NO4)4(CH3OH)2]CH3OH.2H2O (6) Cu2(C9H8NO3)4(H2O)4.4H2O (7) Cu(C12H8N2)(C13H16NO3)2 (8) Cu(C12H8N2)(C16H14NO3)2.H2O3. The crystal structures of the above complexes have been determined by IR, elemental analysis and x-ray. Complex 4 a, 4 b, 4 c, 4 d, 4 g and 4 h shows mononuclear structure. Complex 4 e and 4 f are dinuclear structures. The results show that the coordination geometries of complexs are flexible when carboxylic acid ligands vary. The flexible-type carboxylic acid ligands with conformationally spacers are well suited to accommodate a wide variety of architectures.
