Gears serve as the fundamental parts,which are widely employed in mechanical.Hobbing is an important means for gear manufacturing.With the development of hobbing technology,people begin to research processing a variety of complex shape gears, using CNC gear hobbing machine. In combination with the motion principle of CNC gear hobbing machine, using CNC gear hobbing machine to process drum gear is studied and applied in this dissertation.Based on the analysis of motion principle of bobbing machine,processing methods and processing principles of drum gear is studied. In light of using expansion method to process drum gear,two kinds of motion relationship are analyzed,which are the expansion relationship between rotation of spindle and workpiece,and the interrelation relationship between axial feed and radial feed of workpiece.Based on the analysis of two kinds of motion relationship,motion relationship formula of 4 axes is derived from the mathematical point of view in this paper. In light of using CNC gear hobbing machine to process drum gear, Interpolation algorithm is analyzed.In combination with software and hardware features of CNC gear hobbing machine.Error projects,error sources and processing errors are ananlyzed ,and the method of increase precision of processing drum gear is presented in this paper.Finally,based on motion relationship formula, and Interpolation algorithm of processing drum gear,the realize process of program is presented in this paper.
