Heavy-load forging equipment which reflects the national's extreme manufacturing capacities and manufacturing levels is the basic equipment of manufacturing industry chain, affecting the national economy and the construction of national defense major projects. With the tradition press's advantages of fast, stable, low-cost, servo press has flexibility, low noise and high precision, adapts to market changes quickly. The trend of forging machinery is the technology that based on digital servo motor heavy drive. Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation projects, this paper presents a new type composite actuator for servo mechanical press which based on two-DOF planar mechanism. Compositing multiple of low-power driving sources as one output, provide the impetus for heavy-load forging equipment. The content includes: configuration analysis in composite actuator, singularity and kinematic analysis, the mechanical advantage and its influence coefficient, the analysis of kinematic accuracy, research the package of composite actuator and multi-link press. It is divided into 7 chapters. The contributions achieved as following:1. Proposed a composite actuator concept design for servo mechanical press. Based on the theory of structural synthesis, 6 innovative configuration types are gotten. Considering the synthetic efficiency, one of full-hinge configuration with linear relation between inputs and output is selected, and verified the model using ADAMS software.2. Singularity and kinematic analysis of the composite actuator. In the case of synchronous inputs, no relative motion between components and the conclusion is testified. In the case of asynchronous inputs, a method for the non-square Jacobian matrix is presented. Use ASSUR Group spilt method to solve the kinematic problem. The RRRIII Group is settled with chord-section method.3. Proposed the mechanical advantage as transmission quality indicator. In three inputs cases, analyzed the two loops and integrality's mechanical advantage formula, and considered the inputs and rods influence to mechanical advantage's influence coefficient.4. Inputs non-synchronous deviation and manufacturing error affected the output accuracy. First, one simplified calculate method is presented. Simplified two inputs as one single deviationΔφinput and fixed one input rod. Second, use the simplified method to solve output influence caused by non-synchronous deviationΔφ: constant and variable. Then, according to one single variable method, the long rods'sensitivity factor is studied. Finally, one simplified tolerances determining method is introduced which considering the sensitivity and manufacturing costs.5. Compared to common press, analyzed the multi-link press's advantages. Compiling software of six-bar-linkage-eight-bar-linkage press's performance simulating, facilitated the designers, and proposing one new type of parallel transmission modular for heavy-load transmission. Tested the composite actuator on the H2S200 servo press, verified the design.
