Along with China's economic growing strength, mechanical manufacturing industry has achieved unprecedented development, the user's requirements on performance of WEDM has also increased. Domestic and forign Manufacturing Specialization has gradually formed.The market increasingly diversified range of machine tool processing. Combined with the actual market situation,use advanced research methods, designing concepts, useing digital technology, explorer the potential of WEDM, occuping the "midrange" precision in the international market of WEDM-LS, which has enormous economic benefits and development prospects. So the research of stability and function of multiple and high-precision WEDM -HS technology is is one of the important breakthrough of the competitiveness of China's WEDM.It is also the key of enhancing the International status of our WEDM-HS and it can Lay a good foundation for our WEDM-HS in international mid-market. It bound to have huge social and economic benefits.On the common WEDM-HS there is not tension agency. They use a manual tool. However, due to electrode wire may have high temperature, go longer and become thinner during the long time cutting process, we should stop the process to tense the electrode wire.This affect the processing efficiency. Therefore we design some simple tension agencies and install in the general WEDM-HS, which is good for improving the processing efficiency and great benefits. This article is for WEDM-HS tensioning system research.At first ,this thesis involve the working principle, classification, composition, model and technical parameters of WEDM, the development of WEDM status, the overview development of WEDM, then describes the development of tension agency, WEDM tension agency design methods are summarized in detail, and examples. Tension agency`s tensioning methods are, hand-tensioning, auto tensioning and bilateral tension. Tension parts are, the role of the machine's work area, the role of non-work area in the machine. Thesis designes a simple tension agency ,which is based on the design methods used in tension agency. This tension agency is bilateral tension agency, processing smooth, simple. I do model the various components of this tension agency by using the popular software PRO / E. Finally, I do analysis this tension agency by using powerful analysis tools ANSYS10.0 and analysis methods and methods relevant reference mechanism design theory.This thesis aims at research and analysises the method of tension agency on WEDM-HS, concludes the future trends of design methods of tension agency on WEDM-HS.
